When they came for me,
there was no one left to speak out.

起初他們殺共產主義者
我不說話
因為我不是共產主義者

接着他們殺社會民主主義者
我不說話
因為我不是社會民主主義者

後來他們殺工會成員
我不說話
因為我不是工會成員

之後他們追殺猶太人
我還是不說話
因為我不是猶太人

最後當他們要殺我
卻再也沒有人站起來為我說話了

我們這些自以為念過好些書的犬儒們，常常因為事不關己，就閉了嘴遮了眼，看見也假裝沒看見。
因為不論是彰化高雄台南，都離我們很遠。
但你不替人說話，到事燒眉毛的時候，就會被逼著成啞巴了。
公民意識.....從小小的關心開始......
